| The Côte d’Azur
has gone through countless transformations over the last 150 years
following the discovery of its charms by the British aristocracy
and then later the American beau monde in the 1920’s and 30’s.
In the last 10 years the most famous stretch of beach in the world,
from St Tropez to Menton, has been through a significant renaissance
and the Côte d’Azur has become the destination of choice
for many wealthy Europeans an Americans.
The market across the entire Côte d’Azur
is still very buoyant and is set to remain so for the foreseeable
future. It’s due to the requirements of foreign buyers who
are very specific about the luxury properties that they want, mostly
based on a romantic idea of the Côte d’Azur and its
old stone farmhouses and 1000 years old hill villages.
They also want their ”perfect” luxury property to be
close to the region’s only international airport in Nice.
There is a limited supply of prestige and picturesque luxury properties
available that fit the luxury criteria of foreign buyers.
In the last four years the Côte d’Azur
luxury properties market has seen annual growth of around 15 % a
year, which makes it one of the fastest growing markets in Europe.
It seems more and more people are convinced that the Côte
d’Azur is the place to put down some roots or just buy a holiday
property. The reasons are many and varied but it’s the lifestyle,
the rich cultural life, the luxury, the beaches, the ease of getting
around and security.
